I've binged read all the Daindreth serie in 12 days (while working full time, sleeping is for the weak), plus the Archduke and Bastard's honor. It'd been a while since I immersed myself in a serie like that. I loved it, ALL. Write more. Side note I'm french, I read the books in english but if you eventually get them translated I'd be honored to read for the audiobooks <3

Review of the whole series actually

My friend and I always talk about Elizabeth Wheatley's social media videos and these led me to purchase Danidreth' Assassin. The writing was nicely fast-paced and just pulled me into and through the story enough that I came back and purchased the rest of the series and read them all within the week!
One of the strengths of the series in my opinion are the characters, who are believable written and with their own strengths and flaws. In Daindreth's Empress in particular, I really enjoyed the insights into Vesha in her POV chapters, which were unique in how they treated her as flawed but with initial good intentions... not quite a redeemable villain but someone whose downfall into villainy you could see and mourn. It made Daindreth's reluctance to kill her despite her actions much more understandable. I loved the concept of "she doesn't deserve to be saved but she should be anyway".
I felt like I was putting a lot of pressure on these books to be amazing because of the hype from the author's social media, but they delivered! Fantastic series.

Must read!!!!!

This whole series is just incredible. Wonderful characters, plot lines that make sense and root you to the feelings of the characters. Just fantastic!

If you told me I'd be here crying over a playboy getting a hug from a single mother I would be very confused. But here I am. I am personally offended at how much this book series made me feel. 11/10 would inflict on others.
